Big Profits for JPW Members!

What a 5 days that was! Hands up who enjoyed that!? Every single one of us at HQ certainly did and the course was looking absolutely stunning, drenched in Sun and Pimms flowing. Top class and not only that but we managed to dig out some great winners, not least our star of the show Architect Tips.

The memorable performances came in abundance. Ribchester kicked things off on Day 1 with a gritty display to see off the few doubters there were pre race to steal the Queen Anne. Lady Aurelia was crowned the Queen of Ascot with a mesmeric display, akin to last years win, to take the King’s Stand Stakes in uber impressive style. We could go on and on and on and on…!

How did we fare?

Well what an amazing festival Royal Ascot was. We came away with 7 winners, 2 E/W bets and 30 points profit.

We were so close to landing the monster lucky 15 if LIMATO had won we would’ve been coming away with over 130 points profit.

It wasn’t to be and although I was a little deflated when Limato lost, if someone said at the start of the week, you would make 30 points profit, I would’ve taken it.

I am extremely happy with the performance at Royal Ascot and that makes it 36/46 festivals in profit since we started running them. That is a huge 78% festivals in profit over 3 years and over 250 points profit.

DAY 1

The week got off to a flyer at Royal Ascot. Our nap of the festival and first winner was in the form of LADY AURELIA. She was simply fantastic and as mentioned in my write up, I couldn’t understand why she wasn’t favourite. I thought replacement jockey John Velazquez gave her a peach of a ride. He slowly brought her into the middle of the track and it wasn’t long before she leading. When he pushed the button she just flew. An absolute joy to watch and very excited to her run again.

Next up for Day 1 was BARNEY ROY. I knew where I stood with Churchill as I thought I had seen the best of him after 9 runs. I knew more was to come from BARNEY ROY and he duly obliged. This was only his 4th start so BARNEY ROY still has plenty of improvement left in the locker.

DAY 2

Only the 1 winner on Day 2 in the form of QEMAH. This was a Group 1 horse running in a Group 2 and I was very confident going into the race. She travelled well through the race and put the race to bed quite easily in the end.

DAY 3

Probably my favourite race of the Royal Ascot. Lets just say BIG ORANGE an an absolute joy to watch. He has the heart of a lion and is so game. I just love a horse who gives you everything and takes no prisoners. BIG ORANGE went from the front and basically said, catch me if you can. To do that from the front in such a gruelling race was the performance of the festival. BIG ORANGE is like the Coneygree of the flat, a true warrior full of guts and determination. Order Of St George came alongside him and he just stuck his neck out and wasn’t for passing.

DAY 4

A horse who has done no wrong for us this season is PERMIAN. We have been on him his last 4 starts and he has won 3 races for us. The bookies keep underestimating him and he just keeps delivering. I thought the 7/1 we got the night before was an absolute steal. A game performance from PERMIAN who once again proved his doubters wrong.

CARAVAGGIO, CARAVAGGIO, CARAVAGGIO. This horse is just something special. To rear in the stalls, have all sort of traffic problems and still find that bit extra against 2 quality horses was an amazing effort. This horse is not going to get beat he is in a league of his own. The July Cup awaits CARAVAGGIO and I can’t wait to see him destroy them again.

DAY 5

IDAHO was simply too good for these. I thought he would improve on his last run and so it proved. A great ride from Sammie Heffernan who rode the perfect race aboard IDAHO.

LIMATO so nearly gave us the perfect festival. Our festival Lucky 15 was LADY AURELIA, BARNEY ROY, CARAVAGGIO and LIMATO. I must admit I couldn’t see this one getting beat so going into the race I was as confident as come. Unfortunately he couldn’t deliver and came home in 3rd place. We made a decent profit on the Lucky 15 but if LIMATO won then it would’ve been absolutely magical.

I hope you enjoyed our Royal Ascot Special and it showed you the hard work that goes into our tips. We are committed to our customers and we want to be the best.
